- clocks
- instruments use this to receive commands
- controllers may have this for clocks, of chord features.
- should be configurable, but probably does not change. Midi thru:
- Pass through midi in without changing it. Useful for chaining. Midi out:
- Controllers use this. Should be configurable on the controller itself.
- An instrument may also have midi out.
Most studios probably want a variety of instruments and controllers. the controllers should be able to play any instruments.
